Shannon Murphy is an award-winning theatre, film, and television director. She studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, and later at the Australian Film Television and Radio School, where she graduated with a diploma in directing. Her success in the theatre was followed by, among others, the short films Kharisma (2014), which screened at numerous film festivals and was nominated for an AACTA, and Eaglehawk (2016), which was selected for the Sydney Film Festival and the Melbourne International Film Festival. Murphy’s television directing credits include On the Ropes (2018), for which she was nominated for an Australian Directors’ Guild Award. Babyteeth (2019) is her feature-length directorial debut.
