Noah Baumbach was born in Brooklyn (USA) in 1969. He made his feature directorial debut with Kicking and Screaming (1995), and went on to write or make films including The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (Wes Anderson, 2004), The Squid and the Whale (2005), for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Screenplay, Margot at the Wedding (2007), Fantastic Mr. Fox (Wes Anderson, 2009), Greenberg (2010), Frances Ha (2012), While We’re Young (2014), Mistress America (2015), De Palma (documentary, 2015) The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) (2017), and Marriage Story (2019).
