David Zonana was born in Mexico City (Mexico) in 1989. With Lucia Films, he produced award-winning films, including Gabriel Ripstein’s 600 Miles (2015), and Michel Franco’s Chronic (2015) and April’s Daughter (2017). Zonana’s short films Princess (2014), Dim Blood (2016), and Brother (2017) have screened at numerous film festivals worldwide. In 2015, Variety named Zonana as one of the upcoming talents of Mexican cinema. He marks his feature directorial debut with Workforce (2019), which had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to screen in competition at the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
