Željka Suková studied graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, and new media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Her feature-length debut, the docu-fictional Marija’s Own (2011), had its premiere at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival, and was subsequently selected for numerous festivals, including the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where it won the Federation of Film Critics of Europe Award and the Mediterranean Award. Suková is the co-director, with Gustavo Beck, of the award-winning Winter/Miracle (2012). Endless Tail (2018) is her most recent directorial effort.
