She was born in 1967 in Avignon (France). After studying Modern Literature and Arts, she began to work as a set designer on Leos Carax’s The Lovers on the Bridge. He encouraged her to write the screenplay of her first feature film Will it Snow for Christmas? which garnered the 1996 Louis-Delluc Prize and the French Cesar for the Best First Film, and was the first of her films to be produced by the late producer Humbert Balsan.
