Born in 1967 in Jerusalem (Israel), he moved aged ten with his family to New York. He studied psychology at Vassar College and then worked as
a film editor. His film career began in Los Angeles in 1991. He received Oscar nominations for Best Editing on Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line
(1999) and Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous (2001). He wrote and directed commercials and shorts, among which Nouveau Riche No. 11 and
Nouveau Riche No. 36 selected by several film festivals.
