JAMAÂ EL FNA SQUARE

Synopsis

Set in a small countryside town, Yousry Nasrallah’s ninth feature-length film is an ensemble piece featuring several romantic entanglements amid a family of wedding caterers. It is inspired from the real story of lead actor Bassem Samra’s family business. When a sinister entrepreneur schemes to buy the catering business from the aging patriarch and transform it into a fast-food operation, machinations, schemes, and romantic pursuits come to a head at a wedding party. Droll, jubilant, and awash in vivid colours, the star-studded Brooks, Meadows and Lovely Faces exudes sensuality and playfulness – and even manages a nod to Bollywood cinema and an attack of CGI bees
