Martin Scorsese est né le 17 novembre 1942 à Flushing, Long Island, second fils de Charles et Catherine Scorsese. Avec ses parents d'origine sicilienne, il grandit dans le quartier italien de Manhattan : Little Italy. Sa jeunesse dans ce quartier inspirera définitivement sa carrière et New York servira de décor privilégié pour plusieurs de ses futurs films. |
